Although I am a 56 year old teacher, entering my 35th year in the classroom, I am pretty much a kindergartener when it comes to technology. I learned about the Elmo projector/LCD projector combination this year, and use it everyday. I only wish I had learned more about technology when it was first being developed. An old dog can learn new tricks.
Technology offers students of today a chance to get a taste of teaching. Often, I’ve discovered, the students know far more about technology than I do as their teacher. When students see their teachers as learners it helps them to see that not all teachers have college degrees.
